Terahertz Spectroscopic / Imaging System TAS7500

The TAS7500 (*) is a compact and multipurpose nondestructive spectral imaging analysis system that fully utilizes the properties of terahertz (THz) waves. The coating and internal properties of pharmaceutical tablets are analyzed and visualized in 2D and 3D. In addition, spectrometry tailored to various dosage forms - from liquids to solids - and the analysis of physicochemical properties are made possible by simply exchanging the measurement module. Through the system Advantest is contributing to pharmaceutical product quality from the drug formulation stage to the scale-up stage.
(*) This system was developed by Advantest in collaboration with Prof. Dr. Katsuhide Terada of Toho University.

Features

Nondestructive imaging of internal structure of tablets

The TAS7500 nondestructively visualizes the distributions of physical and chemical properties in 2D and 3D. Film thickness and density variations of tablets are a complex system that determines product performance. The user interface allows development of highly automated methods for a wide variety of measurements and analyses of samples.

Rapid, flexible, automated analysis of various pharmaceutical dosage forms

The TAS7500 analyzes spectral properties of complex dosage forms based on intermolecular interactions. Rapid analysis of physicochemical properties of various dosage forms - from liquids to solids - is possible by simply exchanging measurement modules (transmission, reflection, and ATR).

Automated, high-throughput, compact and multifunctional System

Advantest has created a multifunctional and modular spectroscopic system that enables operations ranging from imaging analysis to various spectral analysis in a compact, table-top sized format. High-throughput measurement and analysis is possible with Advantestfs unique high-performance THz autosampler.
