TOKYO, Japan - August 16, 2005 - Advantest Corporation (TSE: 6857, NYSE: ATE), the global leader in semiconductor test systems, has published its annual Sustainability Report, a comprehensive guide to the group's activities during the past fiscal year.
Previously dubbed "Environmental and Social Report," the publication's new title for 2005 underlines the continuity and stakeholder relevance of Advantest's social responsibility, treated here in terms of corporate management, social activities, and environmental activities.
The company's social contributions such as overseas reforestation projects are presented in illuminating detail, and so far as possible have been quantified for at-a-glance comprehensibility. Additionally, the Sustainability Report 2005 has been reviewed by a third party * to ensure its objectivity.
The publication embodies Advantest's promise to carry its social commitment into the future through an ever-developing set of global social responsibilities and environmental management principles, consistent with the company's mission to provide "Technology Support On The Leading Edge" through reliable measurement technologies.
