The 14th Science Workshop Class
September 9, 2011
On July 10th, 2011, the Gunma R&D Center (Meiwa-machi, Ora-gun, Gunma-ken) held the 14th Science Workshop Class.

The class this year featured the classic PET-bottle rocket making again, and the total of 165 elementary school children and their families from the neighborhood community participated in this event.

The kids and their parents worked together to make the PET-bottle rockets, and our company's employee volunteers helped them out with the process. After their rockets were completed, the kids enjoyed launching them by figuring out through trials and errors the best way to shoot them over a long distance.

The Science Workshop Class has been winning its popularity as an annual, regular event in the community. It is the Advantest Group's hope to provide kids with a variety of opportunities to learn how to craft and create objects and enjoy science, as well as expanding the number of population to introduce the fun of science.
