Otone R&D Center Participates in the Waste Reduction Campaign

The Otone R&D Center (Otone-machi, Saitama-ken) participated in the general industrial waste reduction campaign hosted by the Otone-machi and Kitakawabe-machi Sanitary Facility Union.
The Otone-machi and Kitakawabe-machi Sanitary Facility Union receives and processes general industrial waste, as well as general household waste, generated in Otone-machi and Kitakawabe-machi. The purposes of this waste reduction campaign were to drive a thorough separation of garbage and to facilitate the recycling of waste. The campaign's goal was to reduce the general industrial waste transported to the waste treatment facility by more than 10% compared to the previous year.
By participating in this campaign, the amount of waste transported from the Otone R&D Center to the waste treatment facility was reduced to 350kg, which was 23.9% less than that of the previous year. In other words, the Center successfully achieved its goal of a 10% reduction of waste over that of the previous year.
The Center received a Notice of Appreciation from the Otone-machi and Kitakawabe-machi Sanitary Facility Union for its participation in the campaign, achieving its goal and delivering an outstanding result.
