Advantest Taiwan Inc. Makes a Donation to Typhoon-stricken Areas

The southern part of Taiwan was hit by Typhoon Morakot, which stayed on the island for 3 days until August 9th, 2009, and produced a record-breaking amount of rainfall. The typhoon wrought catastrophic damage everywhere in Taiwan, including mudslides and floods which washed away houses, leaving more than 600 people dead or missing. Lifelines such as transportation, water and gas were cut off, and many people were left in isolation without enough essential supplies such as food.
Advantest Taiwan Inc. (ATI) decided to donate NT$500,000, which included the cost of NT$300,000 previously saved for goodwill events with our business partners, to the disaster-stricken areas.
ATI would like to continue its social contribution activities so that many people will be able to live happy lives.
