Kitakyushu R&D Center Hosted a Company Tour for Students

Advantest Kyushu Systems Co., Ltd. held a company tour at Kitakyushu R&D Center (Yawata Higashi-ku, Kitakyusyu-shi) as part of our CSR and recruitment activities on June 17th. 46 twelfth-grade students from the Department of Materials Science and Chemical Engineering at Kyushu National College of Technology participated in this tour.
On the day of the tour, the students were introduced to semiconductors and semiconductor test equipment and took a look at the tester simulation on a PC.
Since the participating students were from the Department of Materials Science and Chemical Engineering, and they were new to a large part of the information provided with regard to semiconductors, they were fascinated by our employee's explanation and took notes with enthusiasm.
After the briefing, we received some refreshing comments from the students such as that "I didn't know that semiconductors have been used in so many familiar products in our lives," and "I am, now, very much interested in semiconductors."
During the round-table discussion with our employees in the end of the tour, the students threw some candid questions, which made this company tour productive and meaningful to both the students and our employees.
