Tree Planting at Khao Sam Roi Yod
September 7, 2007
On July 29th, Advantest (Thailand) Ltd. (ATH) joined in an on-going project to increase green areas with the aim of reducing carbon dioxide in the atmosphere. The project was initiated in response to His Majesty King Bhumibol Adulyadej's concern over global warming.

ATH staff and their families planted 100 mangroves in Khao Sam Roi Yod National Park which is located in the Sam Roi Yot district, Prachuap Khiri Khan Province, Thailand. Mangroves are a valuable resource for the environment, economy and society. They are useful for ecology and the environment since they serve as a food source and nursery for young fauna, a source of oxygen, and a barrier against storms and waves, preventing coastal erosion.

We plan to continue participating in such activities to do our part in preserving our precious but delicate natural environment.
