Cutting Emissions of CO2 with Heat-Insulating Windows
July 27, 2007
The Advantest Group has been participating in the Ministry of the Environment's "Team-6%" campaign to reduce CO2 emissions, carrying out activities such as setting air conditioning at appropriate temperatures and wearing no ties.

In May, as part of energy-saving activities at Gunma R&D Center (Meiwa-machi, Ora-gun, Gunma), we coated the office floor windows with a heat insulating agent. This coating of insulation makes it difficult for heat from outside to penetrate through and has resulted in a reduction in temperature inside of 2°C. This represents a yearly reduction in CO2 emissions of 350t and a cost saving of 7.8 million yen in electricity bills.
