Recycling Exhibition for Environmental Month
July 5, 2007
As part of their activities for Environmental Month in June, staff from Advanfacilities Co., Ltd. (Gyoda-shi, Saitama) used their lunch hours to create an exhibition of articles made from recycled waste, following on from a similar event the previous year. This year, items were displayed at three Advantest locations, including Gunma R&D Center (Meiwa-machi, Ora-gun, Gunma), and attracted a large number of employees.

The exhibits made using waste materials included recycled tissues and charcoal, solid fuel and planters, metal materials and recycled soap. We also displayed reusable shopping bags, which have been a subject of discussion in recent times. Compost made from Gunma R&D Center's food waste processor was distributed to participants and in addition, we organized a golf putting competition, which participants could take part in if they correctly answered questions on how to separate waste. The event finished a success.

If waste is correctly sorted and recycled, it can be used as raw materials for a variety of items. This event was the perfect opportunity for us to start making renewed efforts towards separating our waste further and making use of it as a resource.
