Tree-planting in 2007 Mt. Fuji Afforestation Project
June 8, 2007
On May 27th, Advantest Corporation took part in a Mt. Fuji afforestation project, planting trees at the foot of the north side of the mountain (part of the town of Narusawa-machi, Minamitsuru-gun, Yamanashi).
Such tree-planting activities are coordinated by the OISCA foundation and concern an area of 100 hectares of prefectural-owned forest at the foot of Mt. Fuji. The aim is to restore the forests to their former beauty following their destruction by pests, and to revitalize the local area.

Including Advantest staff, on the day a total of 160 OISCA foundation members participated, planting the saplings of trees native to the area, such as beech, Mongolian oak and mountain cherry.
We plan to continue participating in such activities that aim to preserve the natural environment.
