On March 23rd 2007, seven members of staff from our Kitakyushu R&D Center (situated in Kitakyushu's Yahata district) and Advantest Kyushu Systems Co., Ltd. volunteered in a flower-planting event.
The flower-planting was carried out with the cooperation of Kitakyushu City's environmental office and is part of development activities organized by the Yahata Higashida area community liaison group. The aim is to create an environmentally-friendly attractive neighborhood, by planting flowers around Yahata station. Advantest endorses the objectives of the scheme and has been participating in it since 2005.
The weather was fine on the day and, in total, 100 volunteers from 34 different companies toiled in the sun, putting all their efforts into the endeavor.
We are planning to take an active part in further volunteer activities to contribute to the local community.
