Vending Machines Collect For Charity At Gunma R&D Center
November 14, 2006
Advanfacilities Co., Ltd., a domestic subsidiary of the Advantest Group, located in Gyoda, Saitama prefecure, has installed soft drink vending machines that add a "charity tax" of 1 yen to each purchase in the lobby of the corporation's Gunma R&D Center.

These machines are part of the Volunteers & Vendors Fundraising System organized by the Volunteer Vender Association (sic), which uses them to collect money for good causes.

The donations collected through Advantest go to the Red Feather Community Chest Movement of Japan -- an affiliate of United Way International -- that provides essential social and welfare services to those in need.
In the future, Advantest plans to continue to support these activities by installing more VV Association vending machines.
