 Advantest Takes 25th Place In 9th Nikkei Environmental Management Survey

The results of the 9th Nikkei Environmental Management Survey, published on December 2nd, 2005 by the Nikkei Keizai Shimbun, reveal that Advantest has jumped from 133rd in 2004 to 25th out of 1,750 companies surveyed.
The survey evaluates companies on the basis of seven criteria including their climate change prevention policies and pollution control strategies, and ranks them by total scores. Advantest achieved not only a high overall score but a good balance of scores across the seven evaluation criteria.
The environmentally positive results of our introduction of the just-in-time manufacturing system, shorter production times, greater manufacturing efficiency, and installation of energy-saving facilities won particular praise. Taking this recognition as a sign that we are moving in the right direction, we hope to achieve an even higher ranking in the 2006 survey. |
